Account & Data Deletion Request

This page provides instructions for requesting the deletion of your Macky account and all associated personal data.

How to Delete Your Macky Account:

You have two primary ways to request account deletion:

1. Directly within the Macky App:

  • Open the Macky app on your device.
  • Navigate to your "Profile" or "Settings" section.
  • Look for an option such as "Delete Account," "Manage Account," or "Privacy Settings."
  • Follow the in-app prompts to confirm your account deletion.

2. By Email Request:

  • Send an email to our support team at support@macky.dev.
  • In the subject line, please write: "Account Deletion Request - [Your Name]" (Replace [Your Name] with your full name as registered in the app).
  • In the body of the email, state clearly that you wish to delete your Macky account. Please include the email address associated with your Macky account to help us verify your identity.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account?

Upon receiving and confirming your account deletion request from Macky (operated by Velosify Private Limited), we will initiate the deletion of your personal data within 24 hours. This includes:

  • Your Name
  • Your Email address
  • Connection history logs (if any retained per plan settings)
  • Device pairings and keys
  • Any other directly identifiable personal data linked to your account.

Please note:

  • Data that has been aggregated or anonymized (e.g., general usage statistics where personal identity cannot be re-linked) may be retained for analytical and service improvement purposes.
  • Terminal commands and output are never stored on our servers in the first place, so there is no history of your actual work to delete from our side.
  • Crash logs and diagnostic data are typically anonymized or pseudonymized and retained for technical analysis but are not directly linked to your personal identity for ongoing retention.
  • We may retain certain data for a limited period if legally required (e.g., tax records related to purchases for a mandated period), but this will be handled in accordance with applicable laws.

Important Considerations:

  • Deleting your account is irreversible. Once deleted, your account and associated data cannot be recovered.
  • If you have an active subscription, please cancel it through your Apple App Store account settings before requesting account deletion to avoid future charges. Deleting your app or account does not automatically cancel your subscription.
