How It Works
Three steps. Under two minutes. Zero configuration.
Install the Mac Host
Download the Macky .DMG and drag it to Applications. The host app runs in your menu bar — lightweight and unobtrusive. It listens for authenticated connections from your iPhone. Requires macOS 15 or later.
No terminal configuration, no SSH setup, no port forwarding. Just install and run.
Install the iPhone App
Download Macky from the App Store. Create an account and set a Master Password. This password protects your terminal sessions independently of your account — even we can't access your terminal without it. Requires iOS 18 or later.
Your Master Password is stored locally on your Mac. It never leaves your device.
Connect
Open Macky on your iPhone, select your Mac from the device list, enter your Master Password, and you're in. WebRTC establishes a direct, end-to-end encrypted tunnel between your devices. No data passes through our servers.
Works through NAT, firewalls, and mobile networks automatically.
